九州生まれ、九州育ち。
早稲田大学法学部、勇退。
高校卒業後、国連事務総長を目指して上京。
ルーマニア平和研究所にて、平和学を学ぶ。
帰国後、経営コンサルティング会社、コミッション営業会社でビジネス実務を学ぶ。
2006年7月17日、声の芸術家としての活動を開始。
イタリア・ボローニャのマエストロ・ミケランジェロ・クルティ氏に師事しベルカント唱法を学ぶ。
京都・大原の天台宗浄蓮華院住職・多岐道忍氏から、邦楽の声の源流、声明を学ぶ。
以来、通算公演回数400回を数える。
朗読、ナレーション、司会、落語、オペラ、ポップス、日本歌曲、声明など、様々なジャンルのパフォーマンスを駆使。
Yohsuke Aikawa is voice artist.
Aikawa was born and raised on the island of Kyushu, Japan. While still in high school, he decided to become the general secretary of the United Nations and in order to pursue that dream, upon graduation, went to Tokyo where he attended Waseda University as a student in the law department where he majored in international relations. While he was a student at Waseda, he went as a student volunteer to the PATRIR Peace Institute in Romania where he researched “Peace Studies” and met Dr. Johane Galtung who took him under his wing. In addition to attending the peace institute, Aikawa became active as a volunteer worker in UNFPA, an organization of the UN.
On July 17th in 2006, Aikawa began his career as a voice trainer and studied under the world renown, and number one ranked voice teacher, Edwin Coppard of Canada. To further better himself, Aikawa enrolled in the actor’s school of Nippon TV where he received training and guidance from the former top announcer of NHK Mr. Hiroshi Sakai. He has also studied with Takeshi Gouda of the Bologna Conservatory and Miyako Ichu the opera singer.
To be able to further reach people, and produce voice seminars and concerts, in 2009 Aikawa founded the company SORAOTO with the mission statement of 「天から与えられた声を通じ、感動・勇気・癒しを伝える」. As of February of 2010, Aikawa has given over 300 talks and lectures to over 25,000 people. In addition to talks and lectures, Aikawa has personally trained over 500 business people in voice skills and speech delivery. The aforementioned are only a few of Aikawa’s repertoire, which also includes proper public reading techniques, classical crossover singing, and “Rakugo” which is a form of Japanese traditional storytelling, conveyed through comic monologues using minimal props.
Yohsuke Aikawa è un cantante di origine giapponese, nonché attore, suonatore di flauto dragone e danzatore di Samurai Spada. Canta per lo più in giapponese e in inglese, ma anche in italiano e in napoletano.
Frequenta gli studi di Giurisprudenza presso Waseda University e di Relazioni Internazionali, (in particolare ”Peace studies” fondato da Johane Galtung Phd ricercatore norvegiano). Durante gli studi visita PATRIR, un Instituto in Romania in favore della ricerca per la pace.
Contemporaneamente si dedica come volontario dell’associazione UNFPA, Fondo delle Nazioni Unite per La Popolazione.
Nel 2006 inizia a dedicarsi alla Voice Artist studiando presso l’accademia per attori professionali in Giappone e lezioni individuali con ”Hiroshi-Sakai” maestro di Recitazione, con ”Edwin Coppard” insegnante della voce canadiani, con ”Miguel Angel Curti” insegnante di opera lirica in Bologna, con il maestro ”Ta-ki” e di ”Show-myow” per cantare in sutra di buddismo, etc.
Dal 2009 gestisce l’azienda SORAOTO Inc, produttrice di concerti in Giappone.
Come voice performer ha avuto esperienza in circa 400 spettacoli con 20.000 spettatori. Ad oggi ė di circa 4.000 il numero di studenti a cui ha dato lezioni di canto. La categolia dei studenti è di vario genere: presentatori, cantanti, indossatori, giornalisti, speaker, consulenti, etc.
Attualmente vive a Vico Equense, Napoli, Italia.
